Inaugurated in 2001, the Farinet footbridge spans the Salentse gorges in a suspended crossing 136 metres high and 92 metres long. Below, an imposing panorama opens up over the Rhône plain and the Saillon vineyards. You can also catch a glimpse of the climbers scaling the walls of the gorge along the via Farinetta.
From the adjacent cliff, Hans Erni’s Dove of Peace watches over hikers. The footbridge is the end point of several itineraries starting from the heart of the village of Saillon and following the path of the stained glass windows, works inspired by the story of Farinet.
