Every two years, the medieval village holds a photography exhibition – “Saillon, cité d’images” – in its narrow streets; each edition lasts 120 days. With almost 200 photographs on display, it brings together some of the biggest names in photography as well as enthusiasts. A free event in a magical setting!
A two-kilometre photographic trail that can be enjoyed by day or night, thanks to custom lighting; a theme for each exhibition; lectures; guided tours… The “Saillon, cité d’images” event finds all ages gathering to appreciate the “Eighth Art” every winter. Previous editions have featured the Valais vineyards, the relationship between humans and the planet, and even water.
