Every four years, Saillon medieval festivities take place, organised by La Bayardine. The village’s historic ramparts are the perfect backdrop for a trip back in time to the Middle Ages.
La Bayardine is a society that keeps the customs and traditions of the medieval era alive. Its hundred or so enthusiasts have been active since 1983. Every four years, they organise the famous medieval festivities in Saillon, which bring together more than 500 artists, including actors, musicians, dancers, archers, falconers, craftspeople, acrobats, cooks and noblemen.

The visitor can watch falcons and owls being fed and exercised every Sunday during the summer. Suppers, embroidery workshops and theatre performances (touring or resident) are also regularly featured.
